How much should you leave around a pool? As a general rule of thumb, from the pool to the house or pool to a boundary, leave the same distance as the depth of the pool. So, if it's 6 ft deep, you want to have 6 ft of space. Okay. Do you go off the shallow end or the deep end or whatever the depth is at that part of the pool? Oh. Is how far out it should go.
